Jodene Simard

Jodi is the Practice Manager at Simard Foot & Ankle Clinic in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.    She completed her undergraduate degree in Honours Biology (B.Sc.) at McMaster University and then attended the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences graduating from Diagnostic Cytopathology in 1995.  After a change in her career path, Jodi was part of the first cohort to obtain certification in podiatric assisting through the CFPM’s Podiatric Assistant Certification Program.

With 25 years experience in healthcare, Jodi has always had a special interest in quality assurance, efficiencies in scheduling and the patient experience.   New to the conference arena, she is looking forward to sharing how the art of anticipation is one of the most valuable skills of a podiatric assistant.  Learn how to cultivate this skill to be able foresee what is needed and appropriately respond in any situation making you an indispensable asset to your podiatrist.
