Holly Burkman 

Holly is a recognized international speaker and author. Working with her husband to build a medical practice from the ground up, she has handled all aspects of the podiatry field from medical assisting to billing and practice management. Currently, she spends her time as a practice management consultant helping physicians learn how to run successful medical practices.

Holly holds numerous degrees and certificates that give her the credibility to help practices; however, it is the years of personal in-office experience that allow her to offer  personalized solutions that make practice profitable again.


Dr. David Armstrong

Dr. David Armstrong is Professor of Surgery at the University of Southern California. Dr. Armstrgon holds a Masters of Science in Tissue Repair and Wound Healing from the University of Wales College of Medicine and a PhD from the University of Manchester College of Medicine, where he was appointed Visiting Professor of Medicine. He is foundr and Co-Director of the Southwestern Academic Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) and C-Editor of the American Diabetes Association's (ADA) Clinical Care of the Diabetic Foot, now in his third edition. 



Professor Alan M Borthwick

Professor Alan Borthwick is Emeritus Professorial Fellow (Education) in Podiatry at the University of Southampton, UK.  His research has focused on the sociology of the allied health professions.  He was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s birthday honours list in 2016, a life member of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine in 2012 and received the Meritorious Award of the College of Podiatry in 2008.   He is a Vice President of the UK College of Podiatry and a member of its executive Council and Clinical Senate.  He has over 100 publications, including research and professional papers, journal editorials and book chapters.

Dr. Peter Wishnie

Dr. Peter Wishnie has been a practicing podiatrist in Central New Jersey for the last 29 years.  He owns two offices and employs three other doctors.  Dr. Wishnie is Board Certified in Foot Surgery and graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1987.  He then did a one year surgical residency at Parson’s Hospital in Queens, NY.                        

After that, Dr. Wishnie did a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel.  In addition to being a podiatrist, Dr. Wishnie is the Physician Coordinator for The Virtual Practice Management Institute, which is a branch of Top Practices.  Dr. Wishnie has given numerous lecture on practice management and leadership as he is a certified John Maxwell Leadership coach.  You can listen to Dr. Wishnie’s podcast titled, “Help Doc, My Practice Sucks.  Teaching doctors to make more money with less stress.


Dr. Peter Guy
BSc, DCh

Peter has been in practice in Ontario since 1985. He is currently practicing in Whitby and Peterborough,Ontario and is a professor at the Michener Institute of Education at UHN in Toronto. He is an advisory board member at Paris Orthotics Ltd in Vancouver, BC.  He has taught Biomechanics, Orthotic Manufacturing and Sports Medicine at the Michener Institute. He has served as a council member on the College of Chiropodists of Ontario and a board member on both the CFPM and OSC.    

Dr. Craig Payne

Craig Payne is a podiatrist from Melbourne, Australia; previously a senior lecturer in the Department of Podiatry at LaTrobe University. Craig likes to describe himself as a University lecturer, runner, cynic, researcher, skeptic, forum admin, woo basher, clinician, rabble-rouser, blogger and dad. Craig runs the online ‘Boot Camp’ courses at the Podiatry CPD Academy and co-hosts with Ian Griffiths the weekly live stream, PodChatLive. He blogs at ‘Run Research Junkie’ and ‘Its a Foot Captain, but not as you know it’. He is also the admin at Podiatry Arena. Craig has a long history of research and teaching on foot orthotics and foot biomechanics and as a particular interest in debunking pseudoscience.


Allison Gaudet

Allison Gaudet is a physiotherapist at Grand River Sports Medicine Centre in Cambridge, ON. She has been fortunate enough to work with the Canadian Armed Forces at CFB Edmonton previous to moving to Ontario in August 2017. Her passion lies within injury prevention, keeping athletes in sport and enhancing performance with these athletes. She was also privileged to help develop a knee injury prevention program and athlete development programs which bridge the gap from rehabilitation to high performance. This programming based out of Sherwood Park Sports Physiotherapy, in Sherwood Park AB attracted athletes from all over Western Canada. Allison earned her BScKin from University of Waterloo in 2005, MScPT out of the University of Alberta in 2009 and her MClScPT (Manip) program at Western University in 2017.

Dr. Jack Hutter

Dr. Jack Hutter’s practice of 37 years involves all facets of podiatric medicine, with a heavy emphasis on biomechanics and pedorthics. As a certified pedorthist Dr. Hutter particularly enjoys the hands-on aspect of the management of anthologies with biomechanical methods. Using a combination of personal experience and practical materials Dr. Hutter’s applies his knowledge in the context of an office setting and surgical assisting. 




Elisabeth Hibbert

Elisabeth has over 20 years of experience in private practice.  As a Chiropodist she treats feet of all ages and has a passion for pediatrics.  Elisabeth Hibbert is the founder and owner of Hibbert and Associates Foot Clinic in Oakville and Milton.

Elisabeth holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Guelph and a Diploma in Chiropody from the Michener Institute.  Elisabeth is a CFPM and OSC member, and has been actively involved in the profession for many years, volunteering to promote the profession and as a clinical placement instructor. Elisabeth has a love for photography and her favorite subject matter is her three children.

Dr. Cesar Mendez

Dr. Cesar Mendez received his Bachelor of Science with Honours from Queen's University.  He attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine for his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine and then completed a surgical residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.  Dr. Mendez is Board Certified in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.  He is also a Diplomat and Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.  After 14 years of private practice in Massachusetts, where he was involved in the education and training of Medical students and Surgical residents, he relocated back home to Ontario and is currently a Professor in the Chiropody Program at The Michener Institute of Education at UHN in Toronto.

Dr. A. Wayne Evans

Dr. Evans is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia (University of Toronto).  He is a graduate of the University of Alberta Medical School. He obtained postgraduate training in Christchurch New Zealand as well as Southampton England. Prior to that obtained a BSc (Honors in Microbiology) from the University of Alberta following training in Engineering at the University of Calgary.

He continues as a medical consultant in Hyperbaric Medicine at Toronto General Hospital (where he served as Medical Director for >10 years). He also serves as Medical Director for the not-for- profit organization, Medical Oxygen Research. Dr. Evans is the Chair of the Ontario Medical Association Medical Interest Group on Hyperbaric Medicine as well as a recently formed an Expert Working Group for Hyperbaric Medicine to guide development of Change of Scope documentation governed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. That process aims to improve the regulations governing quality of hyperbaric oxygen therapy service delivery in the Province of Ontario.

Stephen Hartman

Stephen graduated from the Chiropody program at the Michener Institute in Toronto and has more than 20 years of experience. Stephen has received his Bachelor's degree in Podiatric Medicine from the Durham Podiatry School in Durham England.

Stephen Hartman is also the Chief Executive Officer for the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine (CFPM). Mr. Hartman is responsible for coordinating and leading the CFPM in national and international initiatives. He has held past positions as CFPM President and Chairman of the Board. He is one of the founding board members of the CFPM.


Dr. Helen Rees

Is a licensed New Brunswick Podiatrist. She graduated from the University of Southampton, England in June 2011 with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry. Helen has been in private practice for the past 7 years and is the sole proprietor of Atlantic Podiatry in New Brunswick, Canada.  Dr Rees also works for Horizon Health as part of the High Risk Diabetes Foot Clinic Team. Being a valued member of this multidisciplinary team enables her to promote the role of podiatry whilst recognizing the importance all team members have in providing excellence in patient care.  She has a special interest in treatment and management of the high-risk diabetic foot, but also enjoys the wide scope of Podiatric Medicine, enthusiastically delivering foot care to her patients. Dr Rees focuses on Evidence Based Medicine and applies current research to clinical practice. 

Dr Rees is currently the President of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine. She has also spoken at multiple conferences, most recently at the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses (CAFCN). She enjoys volunteering and fundraising with local charities and non-profit organizations in New Brunswick. In her spare time Helen enjoys taking on challenging hikes and exploring the country (Canada) she now calls home with her Husband and dog (Barkley)!

Mark Brodsky

Mark has been working with small businesses for over ten years, helping them increase sales using email marketing and social media. He works with a wide range of clients, including real estate agents restaurants, retailers and health clinics. He speaks regularly in the GTA as  a Constant Contact Solution Provider.

Georgie Evans

Georgie is originally from the south of England where she obtained a degree in Podiatry from the University of Southampton. In 2014 she emigrated to Canada and is based in Saskatchewan in Swift Current and Regina where she works as a podiatrist. She is a member of the board of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine and is the chair of the committee for the CFPM Certified Podiatric Assistant Program.

Simon Francis

Simon joined the firm in 2000 as a co-op student, working his way over the years to become a valued Partner in our Audit and Accounting practice. He manages a variety of client engagements, with a focus on helping entrepreneurial companies achieve and exceed their growth plans. He services clients across a range of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, and food and beverage, with particular expertise in IT services and professional service firms.

Clients describe Simon as personable and highly-attentive, with a genuine concern for protecting their best interests. He is known for going above and beyond the call of duty, offering strategic insight and proactive advice that translates into significant tax savings and peace of mind for his clients.

Simon is an active member of Fuller Landau’s Assurance Committee and leads the firm’s Professional Services niche group. He is also a faculty member at the School of Accountancy at the University of Ontario, Institute of Technology, and is fluent in French. When he’s not working, he enjoys playing recreational hockey and golf, and spending time with his dog Penny. For the past two years, Simon was a member of the Board for the Alzheimer’s Society of York Region, and has recently taken upon the role of Treasurer.

Dr. Michael Ryan

Dr. Ryan has been involved in research in sports medicine for the past 17 years, with an interest in clinical aspects of footwear design, running injuries and soft-tissue biomechanics. 

After graduating with a PhD in Experimental Medicine from the University of British Columbia, he worked his first post-doctorial position at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.  In 2011, he moved to the Gold Coast of Australia after being awarded a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at Griffith University.   Currently, Dr Ryan maintains his research activity as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. Dr Ryan has published 33 peer-reviewed journals and has been cited by other authors over 1,500 times.

Clinically, Dr Ryan has spent 15 years practicing as a pedorthist in private and hospital based services in Canada and the United States, and is currently the Director of Research and Development for Kintec Footlabs.


Erin King

She is the owner/Director of care for Feet for Life Medical Foo Care Ltd in Barrie, ON. Erin is also the President and founder of The Ontario Podortho Nursing Association Inc, bringing seventeen years of experience in the field of Foot and Lower Limb care as a Foot Care / Podortho Nurse.

Erin graduated as a Registered Practical Nurse studying the healing curriculum both in the RN and RPN programs at Northern College and has obtained post graduate studies in foot and lower limb care in the field of Podortho Nursing. Her additional credentials include certifications in; Wound Care, Reflexology, Laser therapy, Compression Therapy and Bio-mechanics.

Erin is also a former Foot Care educator for Georgian College’s Advanced Nursing Foot Care program and has authored Core Competencies, Nursing Foot Care Diagnosis documents and patient education references for The Ontario Podortho Nursing Association Inc.

Tony Merendino

Is a U.S. podiatrist who relocated to Canada in 2009 to be a part of the Chiropody program at the Michener Institute for Education at UHN, where he currently serves as a Professor. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1989 from CUNY (The City University of New York) and earned his doctoral degree in 1993 from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a two year podiatric surgical residency at Kern Hospital for Special Surgery in Warren, Michigan in 1995. He also trained for two years with the Diabetic Foot Centers of America.

Tony was in private practice for 13 years in South Florida and Tennessee. He was an attending physician, and provided training and education for the three year podiatric surgical residency program at Hollywood Medical Center in Florida, for approximately 10 years. He is a former member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Florida Podiatric Medical Association, and Tennessee Podiatric Medical Association.

Tony has given multiple lectures on podiatric medicine, and has given TV and radio interviews for the profession. He has been an advocate for the advancement of podiatric medical training by initiating and coordinating the expansion of a podiatric residency program for Coral Springs Surgical Center in 2001.

Juliet Morris

Juliet joined Investors Group with a wealth of business experience. As a CPA, CMA her expertise as a financial professional lends itself to helping small business owners and professionals navigate the complexities of managing their finances. Juliet takes a comprehensive approach to financial planning which incorporates analysis of tax, retirement, investment, cash flow, insurance and estate planning. Patrick Buscar

Patrick Buscar began his financial planning career in 2004 after graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University in Economics and Financial Management.  He acquired his Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation in 2007 and has spent time as both a consultant and consultant/manager since.  He works in partnership with small business owners, professionals, and those close to retirement.  His focus is on tax savings and managing risk.  Patrick has been married to his wife Megan since 2011 and they enjoy spending time together with their energetic son Elias.
