Robert C McCririck is the owner and lead Podiatrist at Tweed Podiatry in the Scottish Borders. Robert’s previous roles have included Sports Podiatrist at Edinburgh Universtity's Sports medicine centre (FASIC) and Lecturer in Podiatry at Queen Margaret University (QMU), Edinburgh. Robert gained their honours degree in Podiatry at QMU in 2013 and has gone on to complete a Masters degree in Theory of Podiatric Surgery from QMU and a post-graduate certificate with distinction in medical ultrasound from Glasgow Caledonian University. Robert’s main clinical interests are in musculoskeletal podiatry with a special focus on running injuries and the use of diagnostic ultrasound to assess pathology and aid treatment.
Diagnostic Ultrasound and Guided Injections in Podiatric MedicineThis presentation will aim to provide attendees with an overview of the use of diagnostic ultrasound in podiatric practice. It will cover areas such as the rationale for choosing diagnostic ultrasound as an imaging modality, a basic overview of how the technology works, gross sonoanatomy of tissues often observed in the foot and ankle and with some clinical examples including as an aid to guided injection procedures
