Nikes Makes Shoes That Talk To iPods

Source: Report on Business, Globe and Mail, B14, May 24, 2006

Nike Inc. announced it is making a running shoe that can send data about the wearer’s workout to an Apple iPod using a new wireless system called Nike iPod.

Consumers of the Nike iPod Sport Kit will be able to access time, distance, pace and calories burned through the earphones of a nano version of the iPod using the sensor in the insole of special shoes that communicate with the digital music player.
